Help & Policies
How distribution works
When you submit a track, it lands in our review queue. Approved tracks are delivered to Spotify, YouTube, and YouTube Music through our licensed distribution partner. Live release on the DSPs typically takes 1–7 days (not seconds) — every legitimate distributor uses the same DDEX delivery pipeline, and instant publishing isn't something the DSPs offer.
Copyright policy
We only accept original recordings you own, or recordings you have written permission to release. Uploading songs that belong to someone else — even songs that were taken down or are no longer available — is copyright infringement and will be rejected. Repeat violations result in a permanent ban and may be reported to the rights holder.
Claiming Spotify for Artists
Once your first release is live on Spotify, go to artists.spotify.com/claim, search for your artist name, and request access. Spotify verifies you directly — we can't do this step for you.
YouTube Topic vs. Official Artist Channel
When your music is delivered to YouTube Music, YouTube auto-generates a "Topic" channel for you (the one with "Provided to YouTube by …"). Topic channels can't be edited. To set a profile picture, banner, and description, you apply for an Official Artist Channel. Once approved, your branding from the Artist Profile page is what YouTube will display.
